The Detroit Symphony Orchestra has announced the appointment of NICKI INMAN as senior director of patron development and engagement. She served most recently at the Memphis Symphony Orchestra, where as vice president of patron engagement she established and directed a patron model strategy focused on building subscriber and donor bases. From 2004 to 2010 she was at the Syracuse (N.Y.) Symphony Orchestra, initially as director of development and ultimately as vice president of patron development. She has also worked at the Roanoke (Va.) Symphony Orchestra.  Inman holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and music from the University of Northern Iowa, and is a graduate of the 2011 class of the League of American Orchestras’ Executive Leadership Program for development and marketing professionals.
