Kentucky’s Lexington Philharmonic has announced four staff appointments: JOHN THOMPSON, marketing and development associate manager; TRISH ROBERTS HATLER, advancement manager; VINCE DOMINGUEZ, marketing and communications manager; and SARAH THRALL, general and personnel manager.
John Thompson formerly held a part-time position with the orchestra as patron data coordinator, and worked in the box office while pursuing a bachelor’s degree in arts administration from the University of Kentucky. He held internships with Central Music Academy, which offers free musical education to low-income students in Lexington, and with Music for All in Indianapolis.
Trish Roberts Hatler’s experience includes development posts at Lexington’s Cardinal Hill Rehabilitation Hospital and the Kentucky Bar Association in Frankfort, Ky. She also served in the state’s Office of the Governor, building business relationships and implementing community development initiatives. Hatler holds a bachelor’s degree from Centre College in Danville, Ky.
Vince Dominguez has served as a marketing specialist and woodwind instructor at Chicago’s Merit School of Music and at Ravinia Festival in Highland Park, Ill. A trained clarinetist, he holds a bachelor’s degree in music from Arizona State University and a master’s in performance and pedagogy from the University of Kentucky.
Sarah Thrall, who will join the orchestra as general and personnel manager this fall, has held administrative positions at Music for Life International in New York City, at Aspen Music Festival and School, and at the Juilliard School. She studied viola performance at New York’s Mannes School of Music.
