LEAH C. JOHNSON has been appointed chief communications and marketing officer at Lincoln Center in New York City. In this newly created position, Johnson will unite Lincoln Center’s strategic communications and marketing functions. Johnson has worked at nonprofit organizations as well as in advocacy, politics, and business. Most recently, she founded and led the communications firm LCJ Solutions. Before that, she was senior vice president of corporate affairs at Citigroup, Inc., and vice president of corporate communications for Standard and Poor’s. In the public sector, Johnson was press secretary for Mayor David N. Dinkins’s reelection campaign and deputy director of communications for the Clinton-Gore ‘92 New York State campaign. Johnson began her communications career at the NYC Health and Hospitals Corporation, and became director of public affairs at Kings County Hospital Center. Johnson serves on the board of the Trust for Cultural Resources of the City of New York, is a trustee of the Museum of the City of New York, and recently joined the Board of New York Public Radio. A Brooklyn native, she is a graduate of Harvard College and holds a B.A. in psychology.
