New England Conservatory has announced the appointment of HEATH MARLOW as program director of its Sistema Fellows Program. He served most recently as managing director of Community MusicWorks, a program dedicated to building relationships among professional musicians, children, and families in urban neighborhoods of Providence, R.I. A Massachusetts native, Marlow attended NEC’s Preparatory School as a cellist, received his bachelor’s degree in music from Rice University’s Shepherd School, and was a three-time fellowship recipient at Tanglewood Music Festival. As a cellist he has performed chamber music in such locations as the Berkshires; Banff, Alberta; and Blue Hill, Maine.
