The New Jersey Symphony Orchestra has announced the appointment of JEREMY FRIEDLAND as major gift officer, effective October 1. Since May 2014 he has served as manager of major gifts at the League of American Orchestras. Prior to that Friedland worked as manager of individual and major gifts at the Worldwide Orphans Foundation, and as development and special events associate at Orpheus Chamber Orchestra. He also held a paid internship at the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center and was concert and media assistant at Yale School of Music. Friedland holds a master’s degree in bassoon performance from Yale, a bachelor’s degree from New Jersey’s Montclair State University, and a certificate in orchestra management from the League of American Orchestras, where he completed the League’s Essentials of Orchestra Management course in 2011.
