KIREN BANSAL has been named director of community engagement and development at the New West Symphony in Thousand Oaks, California. Previously director of volunteer engagement for United Way Worldwide, she brings more than ten years of experience in the nonprofit sector, with specialties in corporate social responsibility, online and social media communications, and individual engagement. Born in England and raised in California’s Ventura and Orange counties, Bansal holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern California and recently completed a Master of Arts in Global Affairs from George Mason University in Virginia.
