The Orchestra of St. Luke’s in New York City has appointed ALICIA BENOIST vice president of development, effective August 1. She was previously director of development at New York’s Orpheus Chamber Orchestra and senior director of development at the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra. In addition, she was director of major gifts at New York City Opera and director of corporate relations and special events at the Morgan Library and Museum. Benoist served as vice president, business development and event marketing, for twelve years at U.S. Trust, an investment management and financial services institution. Prior to that, she was business manager at the House of the Redeemer/Fabbri Mansion in New York City. A graduate of Goucher College, she is an amateur cellist with the New Amsterdam Symphony Orchestra and singer with the Canterbury Choral Society, where she has served on the board and development committee.
