KATHRYN R. MARTIN has been named interim executive director of California’s Santa Barbara Symphony. She replaces DAVID PRATT, who was recently appointed chief executive of the Queensland Symphony Orchestra in Brisbane, Australia. Martin was a vice president with Arts Consulting Group from 2003 to 2015 and has served as interim executive director for several organizations, most recently the Sharon Lynne Wilson Center for the Arts in Brookfield, Wis. She began her arts administration career as artistic administrator of the San Diego Symphony. A classically trained violist, Martin holds a bachelor’s degree in arts management from Shenandoah Conservatory in Winchester, Va. The Santa Barbara Symphony is conducting a search for a permanent executive director.
