The Savannah (Ga.) Philharmonic has named ROBERT RUND executive director, effective May 18. He goes to Savannah from Asheville, N.C., where since 1998 he has headed Robert Rund Creative Consulting, which provides management, organizational leadership, educational and corporate consulting services to artists, ensembles, and organizations. From 2008 to 2010 he was president and head of school at American Boychoir School in Princeton, N.J.; he had earlier served as chief administrator at the Waldorf School of Princeton and as chair/director of cultural events at the Peddie School in Hightstown, N.J. Rund has also worked as a booking manager at IMG Artists., Ltd., and as associate publisher at Musical America Worldwide. He holds a bachelor’s degree in music education from Westminster Choir College of Rider University in Princeton, and a master’s degree in arts administration from Goucher College in Baltimore.
