MICHAEL MUSHALLA has been appointed executive producer of Schirmer Theatrical, LLC, part of the music publishing company Music Sales Group. Among other duties, Mushalla will oversee the international development of Schirmer Theatrical’s roster of symphonic cinema and concert productions. Mushalla previously served as vice president and board member for Columbia Artists before forming his own company, Double M Arts & Events, in 1998. As an agent, he has represented the Mark Morris Dance Group, the Abbey Theatre-National Theatre of Ireland, the National Theatre of Scotland, actor Al Pacino, and the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo in Scotland. Schirmer Theatrical’s film-with-live-orchestra projects include The Red Violin, The Pink Panther and Ghostbusters; it produces symphonic acts including Women Rock (a tribute to female songwriters of the 1960s-’80s) and Revolution (The Beatles at Abbey Road) and has a co-production arrangement with Greenberg Artists and pops conductor and arranger Jeff Tyzik.
