Washington Performing Arts, a presenting organization based in the nation’s capital, has named ELIZABETH RACHEVA chief philanthropy officer. She was formerly vice president of external affairs and patron engagement at the Curtis Institute of Music, and has provided fundraising services to Southern Methodist University and the Greenhill School, both in Dallas, Texas. An alumna of Emory University, Peabody Conservatory, and Austria’s Fran Schubert Institut, Racheva has also pursued a career as a soprano, performing with orchestras, recital series, and opera companies.
