DANIEL KELLOGG will become the president of Young Concert Artists, which identifies and mentors the early careers of young musicians, effective July 1, 2019. He will succeed founder and current director SUSAN WADSWORTH, who has been at Young Concert Artists for 58 years. Wadsworth will continue as the organization’s creative consultant through 2020-21 and help to plan its 60th anniversary. Kellogg was chosen as a Young Concert Artists composer-in-residence in 2002, and was on the YCA roster for ten years. His works have been premiered by the Philadelphia Orchestra, the National Symphony, the Orchestre de Chambre de Paris, the Kansas City Symphony, at the Aspen Music Festival, and by the Takacs Quartet and Eighth Blackbird. He is a graduate of the Curtis Institute of Music and holds a doctorate of musical arts from the Yale School of Music. He is the Christoffersen Composition Fellow and professor of composition at the University of Colorado.
