The Hollywood Bowl Orchestra in Los Angeles has appointed KATHRYN EBERLE concertmaster, effective immediately. Eberle is currently associate concertmaster of the Utah Symphony and has served as guest concertmaster with the Kansas City, Omaha, and Richmond orchestras. She has made annual appearances as a soloist with the Utah Symphony, and her other solo appearances include performances with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Nashville Symphony, Louisville Orchestra, National Academy Orchestra of Canada, and the Bahia Symphony in Brazil. A native of Nashville, Tennessee, Eberle studied at the Colburn School in Los Angeles and the University of Southern California, and received a master’s degree from the Juilliard School in New York. Founded in the 1920s shortly after the opening of the outdoor venue in the Hollywood Hills, the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra currently appears under the auspices of the Los Angeles Philharmonic Association and consists of approximately 80 players. Thomas Wilkins is principal conductor of the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra.
