Florida’s Miami Symphony Orchestra has announced a five-year contract extension for Music Director and Conductor EDUARDO MARTURET, through 2022. The 2017-18 season will be Marturet’s twelfth with the orchestra. Miami Symphony’s upcoming season will offer nearly double the number of events, rising from eight to fourteen concerts. The orchestra recently announced a partnership with Miami’s Design District, where the orchestra will make its headquarters and offer six free pop-up concerts. In addition to its classical subscription series at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Arts, the orchestra will perform two free concerts in Miami parks.
