PAUL CIENNIWA has been named chorus master of the New Bedford (Mass.) Symphony Orchestra for 2012-13. A native of Fall River, Mass., he directs the choral ensemble Sine Nomine and is choral director at Framingham (Mass.) State University. Cienniwa is also a harpsichordist with a career as a soloist, recording artist and ensemble player, and holds teaching posts at the University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth and Framingham State University. He began undergraduate studies in piano at the American Conservatory of Music in Chicago, completed his bachelor’s degree at Chicago’s DePaul University, and earned a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from Yale University.
