Bassist ANDREW RACITI has been named to the faculty of the Bienen School of Music at Northwestern University (Evanston, Ill.) effective in fall 2011. Raciti is assistant principal bass in the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra. Prior to joining the MSO in 2006 he served as associate principal bass in Australia’s Sydney Symphony Orchestra, and he has also performed with the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, the Detroit and Melbourne symphony orchestras, and the new-music ensemble Present Music. A native of Milwaukee, Raciti holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a master’s from Rice University.
