GRANT LLEWELLYN, music director of the North Carolina Symphony since 2004, will also serve as music director of France’s Orchestra Symphonique de Bretagne starting in September 2015. A native of Wales, Llewellyn began his American conducting career in 1985 when he won a fellowship to study at Tanglewood Music Center. He subsequently held such posts as assistant conductor of the Boston Symphony Orchestra and music director of Boston’s Handel and Haydn Society. Llewellyn’s current contract with the North Carolina Symphony runs through 2018.
