The Venice Symphony, on south Florida’s Gulf Coast, has announced that KEN BOWERMEISTER, music director since 2009, will step down from that post at the end of the 2015-16 season. Hungarian-born IMRE PALLO, who guest conducted the orchestra in the 2014-15 season and is a former music director of the Hudson Valley (N.Y.) Philharmonic, will become interim conductor of the Venice Symphony as it searches for a permanent music director.
