The North Carolina Symphony Society, based in Raleigh, has named DON DAVIS board chair to succeed JEFF CORBETT. Davis is the Symphony Society’s immediate past treasurer and has been a member of the nominating, audit, finance, and executive committees. After retiring as executive vice president at Progress Energy, Davis served as interim president and CEO of the orchestra for a year before Sandi McDonald was hired in 2011. He is a graduate of North Carolina State University.
