On June 30, Charlotte Symphony violinist Kari Giles and cellist Jeremy Lamb will perform on Facebook Live with Joseph Samuel Quisol, a Charlotte, North Carolina-based singer-songwriter and cultural activist known professionally as Quisol, at facebook.com/wdavclassical. The musicians are performing as part of NoteWorthy, a concert series that pairs classically trained musicians with Black and Brown artists from Charlotte’s jazz, soul, Latin, rock, hip-hop, pop, and R&B music scene. The project is a partnership between WDAV Classical Public Radio and FAIR PLAY Music Equity Initiative, which aims to break down cultural divisions and center the contributions of musicians of color.
