“The Cleveland Orchestra just made it a little easier to attend its popular Holiday Concerts,” writes Zachary Lewis in Saturday’s (11/20) Plain Dealer (Cleveland, OH). “On Friday, the group noted … that it will expand its list of acceptable COVID-19 safety precautions for unvaccinated guests ages 3 and up to include lab-certified antigen tests, which can be completed at home. These tests, which can be purchased over the counter and entail a virtual appointment with a lab, must be completed within 24 hours of the concert date. Proof of a negative test may be provided by paper, photo or smartphone app…. The previous standard for test-based admittance to Severance Music Center was a PCR test. These tests are still accepted, and must be completed within 72 hours of the performance. [Vaccinated] guests must have received their second shot (or only shot, in the case of Johnson & Johnson vaccine recipients) at least two weeks prior to the concert date. All guests … are still required to wear masks … for the duration of the performance….
