The Detroit Symphony Orchestra’s opening “Cirque de la Symphonie” pops concert on October 6 will be live streamed outdoors onto the south wall of the Max M. Fisher Music Center, a first for the orchestra. The free two-hour MaxCast performance, as it is called, will be led by pops conductor Jeff Tyzik and features live and taped programming; the event coincides with the city’s DLECTRICITY festival, a two-day outdoor art installation using light as a medium. Saturday’s concert will also be webcast live to computers and mobile devices at dso.org/live for the orchestra’s first pops episode of Live from Orchestra Hall. The DSO launched its Live from Orchestra Hall HD webcast series in 2011, live-streaming its full season of classical concerts for free via web and mobile devices.
