“You didn’t just travel back to the 1950s,” writes Edward Pevos in Tuesday’s (3/7) Michigan Live. “The Detroit Symphony Orchestra really is offering tickets to some of its upcoming concerts for just over 3 bucks. $3.13, to be exact, to celebrate 313 Day.” 313 Day honors the city of Detroit and its 313 area code. “You must buy your tickets on Monday, March 13. That’s the only day the $3.13 ticket deal will apply. 313 Day tickets can be purchased online, by calling the Box Office at 313-576-5111 on March 13 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. and mentioning the deal, or by visiting in person during those hours at the Max M. and Marjorie S. Fisher Music Center … and again, mentioning the deal…. The $3.13 promotion is open to all, including DSO subscribers, donors, and single-ticket buyers, as well as the general public. Ticket fees will also be waived for this promotion.” Concerts on the orchestra’s jazz, classical, children, young people’s, and pops series are available.
