Conductors Roger Kalia and Keitaro Harada will hold a livestreamed conversation on June 27 at 9 p.m. ET on Harada’s online series “Music Today.” On YouTube and Facebook, the two will speak about a range of topics and share a video performance of Sheridan Seyfried’s Double Concerto for Two Violins, which was premiered by the Lake George Music Festival Orchestra in 2017, conducted by Kalia, with Nikki and Timmy Chooi as violin soloists. Harada is music director of the Savannah Philharmonic; previously he was an associate conductor of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, Arizona Opera, Richmond Symphony Orchestra, and principal guest conductor of Sierra Vista Symphony Orchestra. He was a participant in the League of American Orchestras’ 2013 Bruno Walter National Conductor Preview. Kalia was recently named music director of Indiana’s Evansville Philharmonic, to begin in fall 2020; he also is music director of New Hampshire’s Symphony NH, California’s Orchestra Santa Monica and Pacific Symphony Youth Orchestra, and Lake George Music Festival in upstate New York. He hosts “At Home with Roger Kalia and the EPO,” a weekly online interview series recently launched on the Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra’s Facebook page.
