The 2013 Helen M. Thompson Award will be given to an outstanding early-career executive director who has exhibited excellence and dedication to orchestras through exceptional leadership and a commitment to organizational vitality.
Eligible nominees must have worked as an executive director (or in the top managerial position) at his or her orchestra(s), with no more than five years total combined experience as of March 2013.
The award will be presented at the League’s 2013 National Conference in June, and includes a cash prize of $2,500.
