A 60-minute orientation webinar and a “Frequently Asked Questions” document about the League’s new American Orchestras’ Futures Fund are now available on the League website. The recently announced competitive grants program fosters innovation and organizational learning at American orchestras. It has been made possible through the generous support of the Ann & Gordon Getty Foundation. The program is open to U.S.-based League members including adult and youth orchestras. Larger-budget League member orchestras (Groups 1-4) may now submit letters of intent for two-year organizational grants, due October 24, 2016. To learn more about this program, visit americanorchestras.org/futures. There you’ll find:

•    A program description and packet
•    An orientation webinar
•    A “Frequently Asked Questions” document
•    A link to the online application

The American Orchestras’ Futures Fund offers the opportunity to benefit not only your own orchestra but the field overall, as the League will document and synthesize grant-supported activities in order to identify promising practices and themes, and disseminate the findings.
