“The Timpanogos Symphony Orchestra recently appointed Lori Fisher as its first executive director,” writes Sarah Harris in Thursday’s (9/6) Daily Herald (Provo, UT). “Fisher is a performer, lecturer, educator and artist with 25 years of experience in the arts and arts management, according to a recent press release. She previously worked with the Utah Symphony and Opera and the Arizona Opera. ‘Lori brings a wealth of experience to the TSO, including her experience developing strategy, fundraising and teambuilding,’ music director John Pew said…. ‘Her experience working with larger arts organizations will help us in our plans to grow the organization and build stronger community relationships.’ Fisher said she is excited to ‘join the executive team that will guide Timpanogos Symphony Orchestra to the next level in its growth. As we grow, we will focus our sights on becoming the foremost arts organization nestled at the mouth of the mountains. I am thrilled to bring my experience in arts administration and my passion for live music-making to build community with the symphony.’ ” The Timpanogos Symphony Orchestra, founded in 2010, performs five concerts in its 2018-19 season in Alpine, Utah.
