Through a new partnership with radio station WWFM The Classical Network, based in West Windsor, New Jersey, three New Jersey Symphony Orchestra concerts from Music Director Xian Zhang’s debut season in 2016-17 will be broadcast over the air and via live stream this spring. The broadcasts on March 31, April 27, and June 2 were recorded live at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark, and air at 8 p.m. on 89.1 FM and be streamed simultaneously at www.wwfm.org. Broadcasts will then become available online for on-demand listening at the NJSO and WWFM websites. Featured music will include Tchaikovsky’s Symphonies Nos. 4 and 5 and the Piano Concerto No. 1, with pianist Simon Trpčeski; Haydn’s Symphony No. 102; and Strauss’s Suite from Der Rosenkavalier.
