Lesley Leighton, a noted choral conductor and opera singer, has been appointed principal guest conductor of the San Bernardino (CA) Symphony Orchestra. In addition to conducting at the Los Angeles Opera and serving … as associate conductor of the Los Angeles Master Chorale … Leighton is artistic director of the Los Robles Master Chorale and director of choral activities at California State San Bernardino. She’ll [start] her own series with the newly formed San Bernardino Symphony Chorus…. Philadelphia-based trumpeter and conductor Kenneth Bean recently made his debut with the Princeton (NJ) Symphony Orchestra, of which he has been appointed assistant conductor.
