On Monday, March 30 at 2 p.m. ET, classical-music publisher Boosey & Hawkes will host a live-score reading of Stravinsky’s Rite of Spring on its YouTube channel, as a way to “to create a shared, rigorous musical experience around this iconic work for our music community.” Using a pre-produced score video—Boosey’s Rite of Spring score, synced to the 1980 recording by the Cleveland Orchestra and Lorin Maazel—the watch party will include composers and conductors joining a video live chat as guest commentators during the video stream. Commentators will include conductors Teddy Abrams, Marin Alsop, Francesco Lecce-Chong, and Christopher Rountree; composers Sean Shepherd and David T. Little; and other artists to be confirmed. The free stream can be found at Boosey’s YouTube page.
