The Sacramento Philharmonic Orchestra has announced a new partnership with California’s Sutter Medical Center Foundation, through which the orchestra’s musicians will perform regularly for patients, families, and staff at the Sutter Medical Center in Sacramento. “We look forward to working with the Sutter Medical Center Foundation as we demonstrate the importance and power of music in our lives,” said Marc Feldman, the orchestra’s executive director. Katherine Keeney, Sutter’s executive director, said the program was part of an expansion of offerings of music and other arts to promote healing for its patients and families. The next performances, on April 27 and May 11, will take place in ward lobbies and at patient bedsides on April 27 and May 11.
