WQXR’s Artist Propulsion Lab: multiple platforms for today’s musicians

As part of NYC classical station WQXR’s Artist Propulsion Lab Digital Celebration, flutist Brandon Patrick George spoke recently with Ford Foundation President Darren Walker about the work necessary to achieve meaningful diversity, equity, and inclusion in the classical arts, and the importance of leadership and representation. George also gave a recital at WQXR’s Jerome L. Greene Space with pianist David Fung that highlighted neglected composers of the past and featured new music. Launched to help support early and mid-career artists and creators during the pandemic, the Artist Propulsion Lab offers members stipends to continue their creativity on WQXR’s multiple platforms: on air, in the Jerome L.
