The Seattle Youth Symphony Orchestra (SYSO) has named Andrew Krus as executive director, effective this August. Krus is a music educator, arts administrator, and a former SYSO Board member. He has worked for the past 17 years at Lakeside School in Seattle, where he served most recently as director of performing and visual arts. At Lakeside, Krus established an award-winning orchestral education program, guided two strategic planning processes, and led a multi-year campaign to renovate two theaters. At SYSO, he will work closely with Music Director Juan Felipe Molano.
