Applications are now being accepted for Essentials of Orchestra Management, the League of American Orchestras’ program for current and aspiring orchestra professionals. Essentials of Orchestra Management provides an immersive 10-day experience that prepares orchestra managers with the tools and mindsets they need to grow as leaders and to progress in their careers. The residential program takes place from July 24 to August 2, 2024, at the Juilliard School in Manhattan. Since its launch in 2000, more than 600 individuals have participated in Essentials, many of whom hold key leadership positions at orchestras. Essentials gives an in-depth overview of orchestra management, builds career networks, and provides participants with the opportunity to build necessary skills and mindsets to become innovative and successful leaders in the arts. Participants receive a non-credit Juilliard Extension certificate upon completion. Full and partial scholarships based on financial need are available.

Essentials takes place July 24-August 2, 2024, in New York City. The application deadline is Thursday, March 14, 2024. Click here to learn more and apply. Questions? Contact David Styers, Director, Learning and Leadership Programs, at dstyers@americanorchestras.org.
