Roger Haak, newly named executive director of the Denver Philharmonic Orchestra.

Roger Haak has been appointed as executive director of the Denver Philharmonic Orchestra in Colorado. Haak most recently served as VIP ticketing manager at Denver Center for the Performing Arts and has worked for organizations including Artosphere Festival Orchestra, Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, TheatreSquared, Comedy Works, and Walton Arts Center. Haak holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Vocal Performance from the University of Arkansas and a Master of Arts degree in Advocacy and Outreach from the University of Denver. In his previous roles, Haak led fundraising campaigns, built partnerships with community organizations, and implemented programs that increased accessibility and diversity in the arts. At the Denver Philharmonic, Haak succeeds Valerie Clausen, who is transitioning from the executive director position after 11 years. In addition to serving as executive director, Clausen has been a violinist in the orchestra for 17 years. Lawrence Golan is the Denver Philharmonic’s music director.
