Jude Morris, newly named principal trombone at Symphony New Hampshire.

Symphony New Hampshire has appointed Jude Morris as principal trombone. Morris is currently pursuing his Master’s degree at the Yale School of Music. His inaugural performance as principal trombone with the Nashua-based orchestra will be at its January 13 “Brass to the Max” concert. Now studying with Scott Hartman at the Yale School of Music, Morris had earned his Bachelor of Music at the Manhattan School, working with Per Brevig. Morris was a concerto soloist in Martin’s Concerto for Seven Winds during his time at Manhattan School, and opened the Yale Philharmonia’s season as principal on Mahler’s Third Symphony, conducted by Peter Oundjian. Beyond musical pursuits, Morris is a published and awarded photographer and a collector of film cameras.
